Bautista to arrive in Madrid hospital this evening

Álvaro Bautista

Álvaro Bautista will arrive at the Hospital USP San José de Madrid this evening, where he will be attended to by Dr Ángel Villamor in his recovery from the fractured left femur suffered during the third free practice session at the Commercialbank Grand Prix of Qatar on Friday.
The Rizla Suzuki rider, who was operated on at the Hamad Medical Corporation Hospital in Doha, Qatar, on Saturday flew to Spain this afternoon on a specially designated flight. On Sunday Bautista experienced some complications with the drainage in his left leg following the insertion of a pin to fix his femur during surgery, a situation which meant that staff at the hospital had to make an incision in his left thigh to relieve the pressure in the area.
Upon his arrival at the USP San José de Madrid, Bautista will be examined by Dr Villamor this evening. Depending on the swelling and condition of his leg, Bautista could receive a medical procedure this evening or tomorrow to close the open wound.
